The moment you enter the unassuming Flinders Lane store, you are struck with a bold feature wall created from 1,550 industrial cardboard sheets.

“Intended to soften, wear and evolve with age, this striking fixture reflects the connection between built forms and their occupants. In complement, a darker palette marks the rest of the interior, via use of concrete, lacquered Oak and blackened steel.” – Aesop

Originally built as a temporary solution, the concept has evolved since the store’s opening in 2007, reflecting the constant cycles of regeneration found in both nature and our urban environments. The level of craftsmanship and use of non-traditional materials has set a new benchmark for brand storytelling in the shopfitting industry.
